Jessica L. Stroupe

Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Stroupe is a Fayette native that graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2012. She started at our practice as an Associate Veterinarian in June 2012 and became Practice Owner in January 2016. She was a 2005 Fayette High School grad, and she completed her pre-veterinary studies at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL, where she ran Cross Country and Track for the UWF Argonauts.

Dr. Stroupe married her high school sweetheart, Patrick, in 2007. Their “kids” include their beloved dog, Harley, and their cat, Linus. Dr. Stroupe is an active member of many veterinary organizations, including being Vice President of the Missouri Academy of Veterinary Practitioners, Past President of West Central Veterinary Medical Association, Board Member of the Recent Graduate Task Force for the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, and an active member of the Women’s Veterinary Leadership Initiative. She is also a 4-H volunteer and is a co-instructor of the 4-H Veterinary Sciences course, Vice President of the Fayette Ag Advisory Board, Secretary of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce, and board member of the Fayette Area Community Theater.

Dr. Stroupe lives on a farm outside of Armstrong with her husband and her two sons, Leland and Everett, and their furry friends (a cat named Linus and their Great Pyrenees, Harley). She enjoys running, weight lifting, spending time with her family, and writing vet poetry for veterinary publications. She ran the Boston Marathon in 2014, but now mostly chases her boys around.

Benjamin C. Potter

Veterinarian

Dr. Potter was born and raised on a family farm in Clarksburg, Missouri. The farm consists of row crops, a cow/calf operation, and contract turkey production for Cargill Meat Solutions. His agricultural background led him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine where he graduated from the University of Missouri- Columbia in 2016. He had an active leadership role in many student veterinary organizations in vet school including President of the Mizzou Chapter of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners. Dr. Potter became an Associate Veterinarian at our practice in June 2016. His professional interests include bovine reproduction and herd management solutions.

Dr. Potter currently resides in Boonville with his wife, Leslie, and their daughter, Hattie. Dr. Potter and his wife recently purchased a farm in Howard County and look forward to making it their home soon. Dr. Potter enjoys both deer and turkey hunting and spending time on the family farm in Clarksburg.

Cody L. Lewis

Veterinarian

Dr. Lewis was born in Columbia, Missouri and raised in Harrisburg. His family had a beef operation in Randolph county growing up and they had horses, chickens, the occasional pig and plenty of dogs and cats.

He worked as a veterinary technician assistant from his senior year in high school, throughout undergrad and into the first two years of veterinary school. His interest in livestock and companion animals led him to pursue an education in Animal Sciences at the University of Missouri-Columbia, continuing on to the College of Veterinary Medicine from which he graduated in 2019. He was a member of many student associations at the college including the Student Chapters of Theriogenology, Equine Practitioners, Bovine Practitioners, Veterinary Dentistry, and Swine Veterinarians. Dr. Lewis became an Associate Veterinarian at our practice in May 2019. His professional interests include bovine reproduction, herd health, equine and companion animal dentistry, and hoof care.

Dr. Lewis currently resides in Harrisburg with Angus, his old Heeler/Australian Shepherd cross, and his former barn cat, Kira. Dr. Lewis enjoys deer hunting, fishing, playing guitar, and being an amateur mechanic.

Angela Wilhoit

Veterinary Assistant

Angela was born and raised in Fayette, MO. She graduated from Fayette High School in May 2010. Angela has been volunteering/shadowing with us since 2006 and began working for us in 2008. She is currently taking classes at CMU for pre-veterinary studies and hopes to go to veterinary school at the University of Missouri. Angela has a daughter, Katelynn, and lots of animals on her family farm to keep her busy.

Chara Sumerlin

Veterinary Assistant

Chara grew up around the Kansas City Mo area before coming to Fayette where she has dabbled in many careers before finding her way to the Vet in 2021. She is an aspiring comic book artist and writer. If she isn’t at her home playing with her goats or starting a new art project, she is probably out looking for another adventure.

Omer Conrow

Veterinary Assistant

Omer Conrow has been part of our team for many years. He graduated from Glasgow High School in 1998 and started working for our clinic the following Monday. Omer is our expert large animal technician, and he has trained many students coming through the clinic throughout the years. In his free time, he manages his own cow-calf herd and enjoys coon hunting. He also enjoys spending time with his Yorkshire terrier, Brody.

Ashley Moore

Client Service Representative

Ashley grew up in Boone County and graduated from Harrisburg High School Class of 2014. She currently lives in Fayette, Missouri. Ashley enjoys spending her time riding horses, fishing and spending time at home or at the farm with her significant other Jared Baney. They have 5 dogs, 2 horses and a few head of cattle together that keep them very busy!
