Surgical Services
At Howard County Veterinary Service, we offer a variety of surgical services. Procedures that we are equipped to perform include but are not limited to:
- Spays and Neuters
- Emergency Surgery (foreign object removal, laceration repair, cesarian sections, etc.)
- Minor Orthopedic Surgery
- Soft tissue Surgery (mass removal)
Surgeries are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and we ask that clients drop their pet off the day before the surgery and pick them up the day after. However, emergency surgeries are performed all days of the week. Your pet is monitored carefully during surgery by a veterinary assistant. We offer pre-anesthetic bloodwork as well as multi-modal pain control for every patient.
Discharge Instructions
Every patient is sent home with detailed discharge instructions in order to optimize recovery. If you have any questions regarding your pet’s after-care or recovery, don’t hesitate to contact us.
